Which Countries are on the Green List

Countries that are on the Green List or Amber List for reopening travel are being prepared by May 17. Rendered off-limits by Foreign Office that wants to publish their travel advice, independently by government’s planned traffic light system.

This is based on factors for the risk of individuals that are trapped by Covid-19 travel restrictions or the country’s capacity for health services.

What does the Green list mean for Travel?

Green means – you’ll be tested but there’s no quarantine, anyone that will be travel in the green list countries will be required to take Covid-19 Test before their departure and one PCR Test before day two of arrival, but it will always depend on the country that they will travel. No quarantine unless if the person is positive.

They will not need to be quarantined on their return unless they are positive in the test result. PCR Test must be book and paid before traveling from government-approved providers.

When is the Green List announcement?

The Government has not yet set a date for the announcement, but it expected to come in early May.

“It is too early to say which countries will be on the green list when non-essential international travel resumes,” a spokesperson said.

“These decisions will be driven by the data and evidence nearer the time, which we cannot predict now. In advance of the resumption of non-essential international travel, we will set out our initial assessment of which countries will fall into which category.

“Thereafter countries will move between the red, amber and green lists depending on the data.”
